EFB Pellets
EFB pellets are biomass fuel pellets made from Empty Fruit Bunch (EFB), a byproduct of palm oil production. EFB is the fibrous material that remains after the palm fruit has been harvested, and it typically has a high fiber content and low moisture content, making it an attractive raw material for producing fuel pellets. The production process involves drying and grinding the EFB, then compressing it into pellets under high pressure. EFB pellets have become a popular alternative to traditional fossil fuels, as they are renewable and sustainably sourced, and they emit fewer greenhouse gases when burned compared to fossil fuels. EFB pellets are commonly used for heating homes and buildings, generating electricity, and cooking food, and they are also used as a feedstock for the production of biofuels and chemicals.
